Boyd-McGuiness Park - at the corner of Duncan Ave and Kennedy Boulevard - is an oasis for seniors and children. The newly renovated two-acre park is now twice its original size. Until recently it was mostly fenced-in and empty of any amenities. There was no seating within it. The water fountain had been out-of-service for decades. The pay-phone near its entrance was a magnet for drug-dealers and their junkies. The fenced-off "grassy areas" were accessible only to pigeons and dogs. But that did not matter because their filthy droppings made the weedy places unfit for humans. ALL THAT HAS CHANGED.
